You were all for McCain in the spring of 2008, and you posted a very similar vanity asking Freepers why they did not want him to be the candidate. You got a wide variety of reasons why not, the most obvious reason being that, win or lose, the conservatives and the country would suffer a great loss. Even now, you cannot admit how wrong and wrong-headed the nomination of a RINO was for the country.

You obviously learned nothing from the 2008 election, and are still trying to generate enthusiasm for the next left-selected RINO to be foisted on the Republican voters.

It won't work again. Not only have the Republicans awakened; the whole mass of swing voters are wide awake to this ongoing fraud of the two-headed RINO/Dem coin, and they are looking for a conservative pro-American slate of candidates. They are not going to sit this one out.

If a RINO is on the Republican ticket, I'll be voting for and strongly supporting the best other-party conservative available. The GOP will either get conservative, or disappear into the dustbin of history.

When the GOP runs a conservative candidate, the GOP wins, and the whole country wins.

When the GOP runs a liberal candidate, the GOP loses, and the whole country suffers.

I will vote for any candidate that can win over Obama. Voting this disaster out is more important that any purity test we conservatives can conjure up.

But, I would like to vote for Palin/Petreaus.

I keep seeing this mantra on numerous threads: “I am tired of seeing our candidate selected by the left.”

Other than perhaps McCain (honestly all of the 2008 GOP candidates stunk), who has been “selected by the left”for the Republicans in a presidential race?

Bush 43? Uh, no.
Dole? No. He was an establishment GOP pick who was “due”.
Bush 41? No. He was the VP.
Reagan. LOL.

I don’t really need to go on.

I am a little bit despairing over the primary system.
I remember last year south carolina threw the vote to McCain, and it was all over.

I don’t see that anything has been done to fix the primary system.. open primaries, etc..

Stay home. November 4, 2008 was my last vote for the lesser of two evils.

And as far as Sarah Palin not win the Republican nomination, so be it. I know and understand that between now and the primaries and convention that the Republican Party is going to do everything in their power to destroy her. I am also aware of the fact that the Republican Party hierarchy would prefer four more years of obama as president than Sarah. Or any other Conservative for that matter.

Don’y worry, your man Rommey will be the nominee if the Country Club Republicans have anything to do with it and obama will be president four more years.

I read through a bunch of your recent posts, Bob.

My first impression, as to how people post here about stuff, is that you strongly dislike Sarah Palin. As much as I like Romney and McCain and Graham and Snowe and Collins and Specter (who finally embraced his inner liberal democrat), and any other number of RINOs we have parading around in the party.

I don’t necessarily know why other than you appear to have some either blatantly biased and/or totally sincere hangups about her religious faith and tied to that, her overall intelligence.

Why not lay it all out in the open in one place, one thread, and make your case once and for all about what you see as the genuine problem(s) are with Palin, in your view, instead of posting masquerading threads with questions where the main goal isn’t to really get an answer, but use it as a platform to go after folks for saying they’ll support Palin?

Just start a direct thread about the real topic (ie “The Problems I have with Palin and you’re Not Thinking if you’ll Vote for Her”) and I am sure you’ll get a chance to discuss this without having to resort to camoflaging your intent by putting up a benign-looking hypothetical and then going after the ones who still go for Palin.

..."if it is one of todays potential but established candidates"

Interesting term; but just who would on that list of...'established candidates?'

Looking at you posting history, you seem obsessed with your dislike of Sarah Palin. You describe Palin supporters as "slobbering", using this thread to put down supporters of Palin, a conservative.

“Question for Palin Supporters. What will you do if Sarah does not win the ‘12 pub nomination?”

I will prepare for my cabinet position serving in the newly elected Limbaugh/Coulter administration.

If the GOP candidate is another McStain RINO, I will toss a coin between staying home and voting third party. Not even JimRob himself can convince me to vote for another knucklehead, again.

I’d vote for whomever is the nominee, but I’d be very disappointed if Palin didn’t win.
