That's what I think, I don't think she scratched his face, she hit him with the club, then hit the car as he was trying to drive away, he went unconscious while backing up and hit the fire hydrant and then the tree. That is why he was "severely injured" enough to be drifting in and out of consciousness when the cops got there. As for breaking out the rear window to rescue him, that is BS. How many people do you know that, upon hearing the sounds of a car crash, grab up a golf club before dashing out to the car.

They couldn't have thought up a story that sucked worse than this one.

However, that is their business and if Tiger wants to drop it so should we. The bottom line is, he brought it upon himself. Messing with other people's emotions is a good way to get killed regardless of which person you are dealing with.

It's a circular driveway. He likely would not have been backing up.
She would have struck the rear window from behind as he left. Driving out and trying to turn left, he probably turned too sharply and struck the hydrant and tree, which were left of the driveway and on the same side as his house.

I think the common sense consensus is to open the driver-side door ... although I'm sure Tiger had it securely locked at the time.

Well, Holmes, you make some good points, but it sounds like this case was assigned to Lestrade. It does seem odd that Woods could have suffered a significant head injury when backing out of the driveway, and that the wife would use a golf club to try to get him out of the car.
