In my opinion, Woods has a compulsion to become a better golfer and/or person on a daily or maybe even hourly basis. How long is it before he outgrows any woman who is not the same ?
Woods needs a complete nitwit whose only goal is to sire his kids and adore him or an incredible woman who also gets better every day. I think Elin is neither. She probably is decent enough and as such expects respect for that, but obviously will always be second violin to Woods.
