You keep making the same mistake. FreeRepublic isn’t a Republican site. It’s a conservative site.

What a silly mistaken assumption for you to make, I have never made that mistake.

It scares me that you think that conservatives are “the fringe people”.

You are also a liar.

This is the statement I posted to you.

Why are you rino types always attacking freerepublic as being fringe people when we don't support your rino candidates,I guess the enemies of conservatism share a world view and a common enemy list.

You are a rino and you have been pushing Mitt Romney here for years, you were one of the most dedicated and passionate Romney promoters as you fought for him all over FR, and as you are now.

People should just follow up the thread to see exactly what you said before, so they can properly assess your extraordinary claim that I am "a liar".

I said:

Romney isn’t conservative enough for a solid conservative website freerepublic, but he is within the bounds of the Republican party (which, as we all know all too well, is not simply the “conservative party”).
You responded with a stupid comment about "Rino types" attacking freerepublic for not supporting candidates -- a statement that had no conceivable relationship to the comment I made, which was in no way an attack on Free Republic, but rather a correction to some stupid people who confuse "conservative" with "Republican", as you seem to have done again.

I have been quite clear to NOT attack FreeRepublic, a solid conservative web site, nor to attack the people who run the site, or their position regarding candidates they wish to support.

I'm just pointing out that FreeRepublic is not a "Republican" web site, and so the rejection of a candidate by this site does not make the candidate a "RINO", since there are a lot of republicans who are not sufficiently conservative to get the support of people here.

I supported Romney for just about 7 months, from the time in mid-2007 when it seemed clear no more conservative candidate was forthcoming (although I also supported Fred Thompson, hoping he would make a good run for it), till the time John McCain sealed the nomination and there was no point in defending Romney from inaccurate charges.

For a time afterwards, I continued to correct misinformation about Romney, but there was no "support" since he was no longer a candidate.

Since the election I haven't really cared what people wanted to say about Romney, as I see no need to prop him up for another presidential run, and therefore only rarely feel compelled to correct delusional people.

And with Romney being on the wrong side of ObamaCare (not being for it, but being insufficiently dismissive of the Mass. version), on the issue that matters I'm opposed to Romney, which tends to keep me from saying anything nice about him.

But it's a lot easier for you to simply make up dates, motivations, and charges, than to actually figure out the truth.
