So, you think that if Scozzafava were President (God forbid) that she'd be traveling the world apologizing for the United States, bowing to foreign leaders, hanging or troops out to dry in Afghanistan, nationalizing car companies and banks, installing 39 unaccountable czars (some of whom are avowed Communists) and she'd betray our eastern European allies and accord Constitutional rights to terrorist, just the same as Obama?

Don't know about Scozzabama, but this picture of McCain is damning enough, unless, of course, you are a fan of La Raza.

(There's also a picture of McCain at a south Florida ACORN/SEIU rally, if that makes a difference.)

"I have to tell you, [Obama] is a decent person, a person that you
do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States."

U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 10 OCT. 2008

"I think the Democratic Party is a fine party, and I have
no problems with it, in their views and their philosophy."

U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 02 APR. 2004

Yikes! He would have been no better than Obama. The ONLY reason McCain got ANY votes was because of Palin.

HE IS every American liberal’s favourite Republican. He has a long history of championing liberal causes such as campaign-finance reform (with Russ Feingold) and immigration reform (with Teddy Kennedy). He recently derailed the attempt by Senate Republican leaders to junk the delaying filibuster technique for judicial appointments; and he is one of Congress’s leading worry-warts on global warming.…

WASHINGTON - Republican Sen. John McCain, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam, called an ad criticizing John Kerry’s military service “dishonest and dishonorable” and urged the White House on Thursday to condemn it as well.
The White House declined.

EXCERPT FROM HARDBALL, April 14, 2005:
MATTHEWS: But bottom line, would you vote for what’s called the “nuclear option,” to get rid of the filibuster rule on judgeships?
MCCAIN: No, I will not.
MATTHEWS: You will stick with the party?
MCCAIN: No, I will vote against the nuclear option.
MATTHEWS: You will vote—
MCCAIN: Against the nuclear option.
MATTHEWS: Oh, you will?
MCCAIN: Yes.
MATTHEWS: So you will vote with the Democrats?

There are many reasons to dislike John McCain and the vast majority of FReepers will agree with you. If it wasn't for his picking Palin as a running mate, McCain would have lost by an even greater margin.

Having said that, you shouldn't be running around damning McCain. After all, you defend and promote a POS like Ron Paul. At least McCain supports the US military. Ron Paul is a libertarian who voted against the 2002 Iraq war resolution and has continually opposed both the Iraq and Afghan wars. He opposed the Patriot Act, enhanced interrogation and wants to bring ALL American troops home. At the same time, Paul supports gays in the military. And Paul blames America for 911, NOT the terrorists!

You need to reevaluate your politics.
