Well, it’s half because we share the same father, but we weren’t raised together (she is 12 years older than me), so it’s hard to consider her a full-fledged sibling. She grew up in CA and detested being forced by her mother as a teenager to come here to TN for the summer where she had no friends, no car and nowhere to go (though in hindsight, I absolutely sympathize with her misery when she was here, and eventually she refused to come here altogether - she last came with her late mother about 27 years ago). I haven’t seen her since her wedding over 18 years ago. It’s her choice, she could come if she wanted to, I just find it astonishing she hasn’t.
Dan and I shared a Dad and didn’t growup together but I saw him. Until they moved to Florida. Then it was only once a year. But he called me “Sissy” when he was a kid. My Dad reinforced the half-brother stuff. Dad was strange. The same as his Dad.
