As conservatives, we want to pull the boat in on the right side of the bank, or at least stay somewhat in the middle of the river. And the democrats want to pull it over to the left and bank it on the socialist side of the river.
So, you've got a democrat setting on the left side of the boat rowing, and you've got a republican setting on the right side of the boat rowing. If they both keep rowing, then the boat just keeps going up the middle of the river.
Now we all know that the democrats pretty much hold their line and vote together. Very seldom ever voting with republicans enough to lean toward conservatism. They're kinda like the Borg. All one mind. So the democrat in the boat never stops rowing.
And God help us, we know how RINO's are. For some unknown reason they think they have to compromise, lower their standards and vote with the democrats so butterflies will flutter and rainbows will spring fourth and they feed us the crap that we all gotta get along. But that means they stop rowing on their side of the boat for a while!
The democrat hasn't stopped rowing. So the boat keeps pulling to his side of the river. Eventually, thanks to all the RINO's compromises, the boat will hit the bank on the socialists side of the river.
I don't want to go there! I want to pull that dag gone boat back to the right side of the river! Throw those RINO's over board and vote for a real conservatives that are willing to fight to keep that boat from going to the left!
