You failed to answer if YOU would vote for Jeffords. Or Specter for that matter. Depends upon who their opponent was. If it was Obama, I'd vote for Specter. If it was Marx or Lenin, I'd vote for Jeffords.
If it was Snowe or Collins or Lieberman, I'd vote for them before I'd vote for Jeffords or Specter.

If they were the Republican candidates in a general election and were running against another liberal, of course, I would vote for them.
At least we would be getting a chance but with a liberal RAT, we have no chances.
If you're accusing me of liking these people, you're wrong but they may have been preferable to the RATs at the time.
