Not ONLY that, Marcus Lutrell GAVE GWB a patch from one of his SEAL buddies who died when they got ambushed...GWB kept that patch on his desk the rest of his term.
He loves those men.
Some people think because you support GWB and his handling of the military that you also subscribe to his immigration, spending, CFR and other PC shortcomings.
I think his handling of national security issues was excellent. Did he and his administration make mistakes? They sure did. One only has to look at the handling of Fallujah with respect to the on again-off again-on again battle against the insurgents there. The USMC could have rolled them up before the big battle but were called off for PC reasons and not wanting to offend muslims. So be it.
So his administration didn’t authorize the use of flamethrowers in Fallujah when the USMC asked for them. They otherwise gave them all the leeway they needed to get the job done once the battle was on.
I give them credit where it is due.
