At this time, Mary Landrieu cannot be recalled. According to a 1960s court decision, state recalls law cannot be used against federal officials. I have a real problem with this as these elections are held at the state level. As recently as January, a recall was thrown out for essentially the same reasoning (Cao of N.O.). Landrieu can be removed only by the U.S. Congress, which I am sure you realize is NOT going to happen,if she is convicted of a crime (say bribery), or by her own resignation (which I also do not see happening). I would suggest that voters continually remind each other of her behavior and often. I would also recommend working hard in the 2010 elections to vote out those who have supported her in anyway. Be sure to send a message that she is the reason for your actions.
As angry as I am about her behavior, I would caution against nasty personal attacks as this is the kind of behavior often equated with the left.
