The Indians are going off the reservation.

India has several of the world's foremost glacier experts ~ which is natural since their mountainous regions have a gazillion glaciers.

For the most part they've been saying the glaciers are not melting away, although a large number of them have stopped growing (but that's over a century or more).

More recently their water resources folks have reported that the waterflow from the mountains has been reduced endangering supplemental irrigation projects downstream.

It's simply not the case that the mountain glaciers are melting away ~ they simply aren't being replenished and the cause of that is not "higher temperatures" but a reduction of moisture laden air masses from the Indian Ocean.

Cooler, dryer air always means it's getting colder.
