Credit is one habit Americans need to break...

My wife and I had Citi cards and couple of others. One Chase card we kept for emergency and did not use. Chase closed my account because we did not use it. The Citi cards we used and so for being good customers were treated to a large rate hike.

We are freezing the cards and paying them off - they have lost THIS gravy train.

With all the "stop the evil predatory lending" ranting how has this bait and switch scheme getting by?

All I know is that whatever hope is being anchored to the spending this Christmas, there better be a plan B.

Try a savings account, or a pre-paid credit card for "emergencies" ... credit card companies are on the take...for your money.

obama started this downhill slide, and now he's wanting us to spend, spend, spend and to get credit flowing...I think a good, strong, pushback for a couple of years by Americans would do him, and us a lot of good.

No new charging would be belt-tighening and get us all out of debt, and at the same time choking off some of the libs funds. We don't need to be doing anything that generates tax money right now, but the absolute necessities.

The song says, "Freedom's just another word for NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE"...and when we get to that point, there will be complete freedom...they will have no financial hold over us.
