BTTT and Thank You, Sir.
Hey, have fun seeing Gov. Palin.
If you saw Kristinn’s post below, apparently a press pool with be allowed now.
I don’t think we were blowing it out of proportion, I think the base commander did.
It’s a book signing, not a political rally.
Anyway, have fun and be safe.
See post #127 for real story.
The PX sells several digital cameras.
Oh, I know it is a book signing. You know it is a book signing. But out of the hundreds of people attending, I am sure someone will assume it is a political rally.
Yes the command has backed down a little and will let the media have limited coverage with no interviews. (this was stricktly a post decision from the start, not the Pentagon.)
These rules only applied to within the boundries of the event. The media has full and ample opportunity to interview any willing participants outside of Fort Bragg.
I think a lot of people are are missing the big picture.
This is expected to be a BIG EVENT, HUGE even. Maybe Soldiers will not be interviewed on camera... but the fact that HUNDREDS are expected to show up says VOLUMES!
Now the event is open to the press. And why not? Its a free country and this is a book signing, not a campaign stop.
Kudos to those who press for freedom!
I read the bambi is dissing Santa now. This guy is a diasater.
Bambi will diss anything in our culture that keeps us together as Americans.
Well, it’s 8:42am, Sarah doesn’t arrive until 11:00am, and the lines are already forming up outside the PX. I am heading over in a few minutes with my camera.
WHOA give us pictures when you get a chance
People started lining up for former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's book signing at Fort Bragg at about 1 a.m. Nov. 23, 2009. The Army set parameters for her appearance to prevent political statements that would be critical of President Barack Obama.

Where is Andrea?!!
Reporters crowd outside a Fort Bragg store on Nov. 23, 2009, waiting for former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who was to sign copies of her memoir. The Army initially barred media access to the event to minimize any political overtones, but it later softened the stance to allow limited media coverage.
Are you kidding me Andrea Mitchell never show up at place that like remember who she marry too also party with all those stupid NY Elite
Just returned from the book signing. Went on without a hitch. Lots of thrilled people were there. Nothing political, except maybe a few T-Shirts. The media was also there in full force and covered a lot.
I took a few pictures and some video. I will post it as soon as I get home tonight.
No protestors, of course, after all, this is an American base.
Here are some videos from the book signing. I am not home yet, so I haven’t posted mine to Youtube yet. I can actually see myself in one of these videos.
