I think that may be what happens whether they realize it or not. As he continues to tank the whole messiah complex becomes a joke and it’s no longer sacreligious to examine the issue.

It is my hunch that SCOTUS--still smarting collectively from Bush v. Gore, and not wanting to be perceived as a decider of presidential fortunes--wants the solution to be political in nature. When there is sufficient political incentive to remove BO from office, I think some of the eligibility cases might "magically" gain sudden traction.

Just a theory, of course.

Certainly a possibility. I'm sure all of them thought it would be the end of they're careers had they engaged the issue in the beginning (like they should have!).

These folks certainly must know by now that this is an issue that many people are concerned with. It's not going away like they had hoped it would.
