There is no idolatory. This country is fighting for it's very survival and fighting for it's very soul. This is no time for half measures. They were stunned to find out that Fred, although he was (and is) a thoroughly consistent conservative and an excellent speaker in an informal setting, was completely clueless about how to run a political campaign and how to counteract a freezeout from the MSM.
Only time will tell if Sarah Palin is Fred, take 2. I hope she is not. But I'm reserving judgment until there's more proof on the table.
