Thanks for the ping. I bought some Samboucal and used it the other week when I developed a sore throat and cough. I got better shortly so glad it didn’t turn into the flu. Thanks for the warning. I was concerned about the cytokine storm stuff, but on some other papers they claim that is not a worry. I’m sure there are a variety of opinions on that. Common sense would seem that if one is concerned about too much antibodies, you wouldn’t take something that boosts the antibodies....

I know that alot of posters at PFI & Timebomb2000 have taken Samboucal according to their personal reports. I have read that some posters do believe that it helped them .I have heard of the cytokine storm risk too . I know there has been studies on it . I saw this link at PFI about
blackelderberry which is also known as Samboucal I think ?

sambucol’s website notes the site below, for background...

3rd study down is of interest - in seasonal flu — iirc, tamiflu cut the duration of illness by 1.5 days, vs elderberry that cut it by 3-4 days. also note that it impairs the ability of the virus to attach to cells, vs tamiflu that impairs the ability of the virus to get out of an infected cell - H vs N.
