Flip it around. Would you like to be the juror who votes innocent? Think there would be any...oh say NYPD or FDNY members or their families that might even be living in your neighborhood and want to "discuss" your "decision" EVERY TIME YOU LEAVE YOUR HOUSE UNTIL YOU GET BACK HOME??....
It would be a real "chore" 24/7 - 365 just to try to get back home alive for the rest of whatever you have left of the rest of your now agonizing life and trying to sleep with one eye open and an ear tuned to the smoke detector.

Remember as well, that we’re talking about a trial which will take from one to two years to complete. This means the only ones who will voluntarily sit on the jury are those who are (a) unemployed, or (b) retired, and who don’t have the financial means to travel (if some retired Wall St. broker gets on the jury list, he’ll find a way out so that he can still take his golf trips to Miama and Arizona). The jury will, as it so often is in this type of high profile case, be comprised of a narrow slice of society which does not represent the views of the average American voter.
Then I suggest you stipulate by posting “sarc” in the future so there are NO misunderstandings...we have A LOT of posters, especially Newbies like you, who have ulterior beliefs.
You can generally protect yourself from people who want to live more than they want to kill you, but there is no protection from somebody who is willing to die to make you that you die with him.
This is the mindset that we are dealing with. That is why we cannot let these terrorists be tried on American Soil. These are not "criminals" they are international terrorists and war criminals. We need to treat them as such and try them in Military Tribunals.
Just drop him off on a street. The citizens will take care of it.

Obama does not want the U.S. population to continue to discuss the Health Care Bill. So Obama ponies out his AG and changes the subject.
Obama has used this tactic at least FIVE TIMES this year.
Every time Obama has had a bad series of news cycles - then the Holder announces the prosecution of CIA interrogators or the attorneys who authorized it or whatever outrageous stupid idea - to kick bad issues off the news cycle.
Obama has also announced - or had someone else announce moving the GITMO detainees to one of our prison systems or some other ELECTRIC announcement... to change the subject.
AND WE FALL FOR IT.
If we talk and talk and talk about this Detainee Trial in NY - then Obama will work with Reid and Pelosi over the next month - UNDER THE RADAR and slip the Health Care LIE and/or Cap and Trade and/or Amnesty through the Congress.

Undoubtedly because these people were not granted Constitutional rights from the get-go they WILL walk free.
They will. I honestly think that is Obama's mission.
I personally can't see any situation in which they will not be released on some technicality.
So then what do you do?
