Go further down the river. Memphis has blues. Real blues. and the BBQ can’t be beat, I don’t care where you’re from.
I love delta blues too, and actually most of the best Chicago blues men were from the delta (Howlin’ Wolf, Elmore James etc.) The south is definitely more my style, and I’ve got pleasant memories of Memphis from my USN school days in Millington (71). I do like the Chicago ‘sound.’
On the way to Memphis, stop off in St. Louis. Some good blues there too.
King Richard II is the reason why the rest of us in IL will never have concealed carry. He opposes it and what Chicago wants, IL gladly ponies up. King Richard gets all wee-weed up over guns on a regular basis yet instead of stopping violent crime he details police officers to patrol undercover to capture those most dastardly of crooks - jaywalkers. It’s a fact. While kids get shot almost daily in the Chicago Public Daycare System For Teenagers, the cops are saving the rest of the city population from jaywalkers.
This, my friends, is a man who has his priorities in place.
