That’s true, I haven’t, and I honestly can’t say how I would feel in that case. However, I’d like to think I could offer forgiveness. I’m not saying I don’t want severe punishment, but I’m not the type to demand an eye for an eye.
I feel as you do.
I’ve had it happen to me, growing up in Governor Carey’s New York. I remember a murdering bastard being let out in seven years to terrorize his old neighborhood and I realized that that bastard Carey didn’t give a shit about people like me.
Every time one of these murdering bastards gets it, my heart skips a beat.
“Im not the type to demand an eye for an eye.”
OK, and I respect your respect (which is fine and good). I don’t celebrate per se; it’s more of a somber realization that discipline must be carried out.
Meanwhile: you can’t demand eye-for-eye here; there were some 12 dead victims (more injured), and only 2 perps. But I’d frankly be satisfied with that.
Quit the navel gazing, bud and man up. We're at war, it's us or them.
