Sure, because he threatened the political class in their backyard. All of our lives would be different—and there would have been no Ft. Hood terrorist attack—if the one 9/11 plane had hit the Capitol Building (where the Important People are) instead of the Pentagon (whom the Important People don’t care about).

Yes, but it may not be so wonderful as you imply.

Targeting the legislature would’ve been devastating - in the sense of creating mass chaos as we try to piece it back together with virtually nothing in the interim. That’s alot of people to replace.

Despise many of them as you may, but stability is a key component of a good republic, and United93’s target was as good for destroying that as any. The Moslems weren’t stupid - they didn’t hit “symbols” as the numbskulls spout; they hit important targets. (Note: Capitol WAS a target, so it would’ve been hit as well as the Pentagon, not just “instead”.)
