If it doesn't fit in their warped view of the world...... then it couldn't have happened. So another explanation must be at play. Hasan's previous actions must have all been coincidences....as was his name and religion.

As I noted here, the attack was treason, the attack was undoubtedly an act of jihad by a Salafi Muslim, but it was an attack on soldiers. Terrorism as a tactic involves attacking the general population to instill terror.
