Anyone who thinks this farce is going to stop the far left from voting for 0bamacare is only fooling themselves. All of these leftists already voted for 0bamacare even with this amendment in place.

If comments by some Democrats in the House are true, the language in the Stupak Amendment would likely be eliminated in conference committee.
I’m not sure whether the Stupak Amendment was a means to give cover to pro-life Democrats so they’d vote for the final bill or whether the amendment was put up for reasons of principle - but either way, it doesn’t sound like it’ll remain in any final bill.

Good grief, we’re talkin’ democrats here. E.g., we have “promises” granted by the sleaziest, least intellectually accomplished (real intellect, not marshmallow degrees in underwater basket weaving), and completely dishonest set of sub-humans in the history of the world.
Do you really believe they’ll stick to that ammendment?
Some sleazy lawyer will challenge the constitutionality of not allowing abortions, and our sub-par Supreme Jokefest will concur.

Stupak and the Blue Dogs got pawned. The Lib Dems like Wasserman-Sh*t will add on demand baby killing back into the bill.

My understanding from Rep. Stupak several weeks ago, if the legislation sent back by the Senate does not include the Hyde language, at this point, it would be the conference bill, no amendment allowed, then he and those other pro-life Dems will kill the legislation outright. It was not just a one-time move to appease voters, "Hey, I got it into the House bill, best I could do" -- so in effect, this atrocity does rely on the pro-life contingency in the House, whether or not they are serious about their principles, if the pro-death Dems stomp their feet loud enough to keep the language out of the final legislation.
We'll see.

The Stupak amendment was a farce and CLEAR proof the GOP is still the stuppid party.
If the Republicans AS A SINGLE FORCE voted it down then the blue dogs would have been forced to vote no.
Instead the abortion issue was used as a sucker punch.
This is just like the stunt pulled with the BS flag burning amendment to distract from the Federal Marriage Amendment.
Idiots.

I can tell you all this, the libtards over at the DUmmies board are very upset about this. They've divided into two camps, the "we can live with this as long as it gets us healthcare" group, and the "any abortion, any time, paid for by the taxpayers" group.
They've gotten pretty nasty with each other over there.
