Actually, what I tell people here in Texas is that the WE would not be leaving the country in order to live under an Austin-based Constitution similar to the one in DC.
Rather it is the rest of the country that succeeded, once it decided that the the US Constitution was no longer the foundation of the country and could be ignored.
True we have strayed so far from the constitution one wonders if it is beyond repair without a massive breakup or breakdown however you prefer to view it.
