My brother-in-law (from Michigan) and I were at the Thursday tea party on the Capitol's lawn. We arrived two hours before it was suppose to start and there were a number of people but not as many as I had hoped. But as the time drew near, more and more buses unloaded until there had to be at least 30,000 and we were wall-to-wall people. All the Republicans House members came down to get their 30-second sound bite for their TV campaign commercial but it really was Michelle Bachmann who really put her reputation on the line who deserves the credit.

There were MANY representatives that were looking out the windows and someone stated that they could hear us inside the chambers. It's important that people keep phoning and emailing their representatives. They are getting very nervous and many of them know if this goes through they'll be kicked out.

By the way, I have been attending a number of these tea parties and writing letters (one of the reasons I haven't been around here much). If you have an opportunity, it is a wonderful experience. You meet a great number of patriots.
