I am suspecting (perp was/is?) Wahhabist (Salafism), the most extreme branch of Islam (Saudi based), based on the Wahabbi text he commented on online and also now the reports of his extreme devout attendence at the mosque. Lets check out that Mosque in Maryland, I'll reckon it may be لوهابية (Al-Wahhābīyya Sect).
