This is the crowd estimator I was referring to.
The crowd at the House Call Teaparty filled probably 1/3 of the shaded area, on the west lawn that resembles a baseball playing field. That would suggest 30-40K, right? I guess it doesn't really matter that much, but it's fun to try and guess (unless someone flames you for your effort). . .
Looking at the map, we easily filled up a quarter of the “240,000” shaded block in front of the Capitol steps. That puts us at 60,000. And then we were heavily scattered on the north and south bulges.
Plus, Cindy_True_Supporter was at the Muslim pray in and they were inside the walk area, and they were estimated at 50,000.

Some of us were discussing this very map Thursday. I was told the 240,000 estimate was for those seated in chairs. That means the way we were standing it could be many more...like on 9-12.
30-60,000 sounds about right. ;*)
