OMG! I actually deleted something from my former post about that - because I thought it wasn’t pertinent.
There is a variant of smallpox variola known as blackpox. It is hemoraghaic (like Ebola), the body turns black, and the fatality rate is 93%! And the Russians stockpile it among their bioweapons. If this was smallpox I’m sure we would have heard about it by now, though.
No, this sounds more like a mutation of H1N1, like the one that popped up in 1918-1919. And it appears to have a high mortality rate just like in 1918 - 1919, too. I have read that the Black Death in Europe was most likely an influenza and not a bacteria caused disease.
So...is it something created by the Russians? Any quesses?
