Karl said he thinks Hoffman will pull it out—’bout 20 minutes ago.

I got it from a New York Times link posted by another Freeper. The last I saw, Owens was ahead by 49% to 46% with 71%.

...some ACORN slugs are probably hard at work, stealing the ballot boxes from the most conservative areas of district 23 in NY so they can’t be counted!!!!!

They had some DNC skank spinning on FNC. She was downplaying the two governor races and putting all their hopes on Owens. Hope Hoffman can pull this off.

The Watertown Mayor who just endorsed Hoffman over the past weekend = RINO.

Nope, no wishful thinking there by the Mayor.

RealClearPolitics just posted this info:

10:58 -- Things aren't as great for Democrats in upstate NY as I thought. Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties, the Democratic strongholds, are largely in. Fulton County, which went for McCain with 54% of the vote, isn't in yet. Lewis County, another 54% McCain county is still out. On the other hand, St. Lawrence County, a 58% Obama County, is only half in. I guess it depends what happens in those counties and in the remainder of Oswego County. Still not great news for Hoffman, though. --SEAN TRENDE

I heard there was early voting in the district and some people had already voted for DeDe before Hoffman got his momentum going.

LOL! I just said almost the exact same thing to my husband. This is so exciting. It feels like a presidential race!

Earlier Fox had a reporter up there at Hoffman HQ and they were sounding like it could be a long night. A lot of distant, more rural counties taking time to get counted. Might not know until morning.

I smell the stink of ACORN all over this vote.

I can't stand those guys, but I really don't think so in this case.

ACORN scum would stand out like a sore thumb up there. These are the kinds of towns where everybody knows everybody else.

What hurts the most is seeing those wasted votes on the Scuzzball, which would have put Hoffman into the lead.

They can spin all they want, but the facts are they are dispirited with VA and NJ - esp. the wideness of the loss in each one. A governor is 1 of 50, a member of the House is 1 of 535. Haley Barbour was talking about the impact a governor has on recruiting and helping solid future candidates for office. A lowly House member can’t do diddly about much.

Should Owens win, he knows he cannot vote with Pelosi or he’s toast. He is on a tight leash with the folks back at home looking hard.

So far Drudge isn’t reporting any results for the NY-23 race. Wonder why?

Dede didn’t get the R vote. She is more liberal than the Democrat and supporters would have been the Lib Dems.
