I called this earlier today. There is no way the Dems are going to let any candidate Sarah Palin endorses win. They will pull out all stops to defeat *her*. And when they manage to steal the election, they will say its an affirmation that she is toxic, as will Newt and any other hack.

Watch for it. It is coming.

And it’s a lot easier to screw with a small district than a populous state...

I read where the machines in precincts weren’t functioning and will have to wait until tomorrow. So, if that is the case, how do we know if Hoffman is ahead or what??? Too screwed up. Hope he has some good lawyers on hand.

Also:
Democrats are hoping for an easy victory Tuesday in the 10th Congressional District,(CA) a heavily gerrymandered district where Democrats hold an 18-point registration edge over Republicans. So far, no votes covered. Sacramento area.

Yes, and not just the Dems either. Watch for the establishment GOP to use a Hoffman loss as a stick to beat her with. I said it from the moment she went public for Hoffman -- NY23 is about Sarah Palin and Sarah Palin alone.

I'm pessimistic enough to believe that.

The two gubernatorial races are nice to win, but we need more votes in congress the most.

Sarah's problem here is that she's viewed as national. As is Newt. Thompson. Cornyn. Huckabee. All of them.

That's a New England style of district. I think the district rejected outsiders coming in there and telling them who to vote for. Dede was not accepted by the base. Hoffman did not live in the district. They fought each other and Owens watches it happen and wins by default. After this dustup, Hoffman becomes the national candidate and Owens is local. If the county chairs had their heads out of their you know where, there wouldn't have been an issue.

The other thing is that there are a lot of dairy interests and a military base there that power the economy. Government dependency. It worked for McHugh since he took care of those interests. That's where the "doesn't live in the district" card killed Hoffman.
