People claim NC is now a “Blue State”.

Obama won NC by less than 25,000 votes. Barr got more than 25,000 votes and threw the election to Obama.

I make my fight in the primaries.

The GOP establishment stacks the deck against conservatives in the primary. If their liberal wins as they intend, they know they can count on you to stay on board. After all, you've already shown them that you will support liberals as long as they have an "R" by their name. If their liberal choice loses to a conservative who manages to overcome the rigged game, they simply pull funding and support.

You're playing in a rigged game.

I agree. IIRC, it was Limbaugh who made the point that the Hoffman/Scozzafava fight was the GOP primary that should have been, but wasn't because the "leadership" in DC and the district decided to hand pick her over the wishes of the conservative majority in the district's GOP.

In most cases, third parties and independent candidates exist as foils to help Democrats get elected. In the case of Hoffman, it's different, since he would have been the GOP candidate had the people themselves actually had a say.

This is exactly what these third party people want. They'd like nothing better than to split the party to ensure Marxism is deeply embedded to the point of no return to Capitalism. They may pitch a good game about American values, but no thinking, reasonable person would purposefully fracture the Republican party knowing the result of permanent Dim wins. The Dims are just drooling at the thought of the success of these, what I perceive to be, traitors to their country.
