I'm not sure that this applies only to comics. It would certainly seem to me to be a common problem for most Hollywood Libs. They talk to and socialize only with people of a like mind. Even being polite to someone who has a differing opinion is unthinkable. Kinda sad, really; but not even slightly surprising.

Only in Hollywood would Maher be considered as popular as Elvis or Michael Jackson. Few people know who he is, and those few are divided further between those who like him, and the greater number who think he is a nasty man resembling a ferret.

There's no resemblance whatever between Bill Maher and Elvis Presley. One of them, like it or not, was a one-of-a-kind genius. The other is a small-time jerk who will be forgotten before he's dead.
