I assume you are joking. I have worked with Lonegan in politics for over ten years and he is the furthest thing from a RINO. (I am one for the first thousand FReepers myself.) Right now Steve is NJ State Director of Americans for Prosperity (http://afphq.org)

Read his essay again. He is saying a Corzine win will make it more difficult to scare the blue dog Dems into voting against Obamacare. Think strategically, not emotionally.

Yeah, I’d been thinking of writing in Lonegan as a protest vote. But over the last two weeks or so, I’ve decided I’ve got to take the least of three evils, push the button for Christie and try to limit the damage the Dems can do.

Stinks, though. I wish I could vote for a real conservative in NJ. I wish a real conservative would have party backing (not like Schundler left to drift in the wind.) I wish my fellow citizens would actually elect a conservative - but that’s a pipe dream.

I am joking.

I’m responding to the prevailing sentiment in some FReeper circles that it is always and at all times better to lose an election than to win it.

Builds charactre, doncha know.
