What prompted the protest was the local media's refusal to report an even larger demonstration on 9/12. Only a few blocks from their studios a crowd of at least 4,000 held a three hour rally at the state capitol. The media showed up afterwards and reported seeing only a few straggling protesters. Here's the scene the media blacked out that day, trying to prevent viewers from realizing the breadth of the conservative movement:

It was an amazing showing considering many of the most active people had traveled to Washington, DC for the rally there. Denver's media is losing more than they know. As the public's confidence wanes, media's power evaporates with it.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find only things evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelogus
I am willing to bet that 90%+ of the media people in Denver live in or next to “The Peoples Republic of Bolder”!
Being in Bolder makes my skin crawl! I have to do business there from time to time. I shower as soon as I can after leaving.
I worry conservatives sometimes think that media coverage "just happens." Nope, you have to cultivate contacts, play nice, and tell the MSM what's in it for them. Just look at CBS4's Misty Montano and what she has to sort through.
That said, what are the good conservative news outlets in Colorado? The blogs seem to be underused. I follow #redco and #cotcot on twitter, but there is little there either.
