I have no problem with Obama meeting the arriving caskets. In fact, he should do it more frequently. But, if he had any integrity, he would himself demand that no media be present. Fallan American service men and women are not props to be used in a photo op.

Bush, throughout his Presidential tenure, met IN PRIVATE with grieving 9/11 family members and the family members of fallen service member. The media was NEVER invited, not even off the record, to be present in those meeting. This is one Bush policy Obama, if he cared more for his country than his political popularity, would adopt immediately.

I think the left-wing media attacked Bush for not going to Dover to meet the coffins of the soldiers...maybe Obama’s motive in going to Dover was to inspire some more newspaper pieces attacking Bush.

Well said, ODH. I'm surprised I wasn't flamed when I expressed my support for the CINC being there. At the time, I didn't know he brought two dozen media with him.
