I have never been very political, but I will be sending donations directly to fiscally conservative candidates from now on. It's time to stop the increasing our deficit. I'm sorry I was asleep at the wheel while the country has gotten this far in it's self destruction. Some of us have been busy working or trying to raise our children properly. How anyone can support a candidate that is ACORN friendly and for union card check is beyond me. I hope Doug wins, but if he doesn't, I will continue to support all of the up and coming "Dougs".

If you weren't a total sellout, I would suggest that you could redeem yourself by asking your sorry leftist candidate, "DeDe", to go quietly and endorse Hoffman. But I've known for years that you are a RINO and true Republicans are sick of you and the policies you promote. No matter; we will make sure Hoffman wins anyway. You are worse than irrelevant.

I have always been an ardent supporter and was dissapointed that you did not run in 08. However I cannot believe you would endorse a 'card check" candidate. I always thought you stood on principles but now I question just what those principles are. You have lost a faithful supporter!

Newt - the Republican party is always sending me mail requesting me to sen donations to influence districts that are not my own. Now you are saying that it's not ok to try and influence others ... the locals know better than me?! I guess that's only true except when you ask me for campaign donations.

As a Republican legislator in NJ, I've seen the disaster which toeing the party line can make, when we are asked to support policies the GOP leadership endorses, allegedly to win the support of constituents. Result: NJ finds itself in a tax hell, buried under a mountain of debt, in thrall to the public employee unions, with no realistic prospect of recovery.

Liberal policies -- supporting Obama's $800 billion deficit busting stimulus fraud comes to mind -- are wrong, whether pursued by Republicans or Democrats. At the end of the day, if we find ourselves with a liberal "Republican" or a liberal Democrat, what's the difference? The policy still stinks.

If the people want socialism, let them get it from the Democrats.

I was pulling for you even after Bill Clinton are your lunch in '96. If you keep letting RINO butt monkeys like Dole, McCain and Scozzaferra run our party, the democrates will continue to pound us into the mud until we have no America to defend.

If you can't make a coherent statement and make a stand for Republican Conservatism, please, please, please, quit taking our money so that someone with a vision will have a chance to succeed.

Let me ask you a question: if "real change requires real change", where's the real change between Dede Scozzafava and Nancy Pelosi/Louise Slaughter??? That is a distinction without a difference. You seem bent on winning a GOP majority, why? So that it can splinter apart like the Democrats' majority in congress now??

P.S. I thought you just became a Roman Catholic - what position does Scozzafava hold that is in any way aligned to the Church?
