If the ammo and gun sales are any indicator, a lot of people think this is inevitable. I assume everyone hopes we never have to fight our fellow Americans but the cultural divide is so great, the hatred so intense, is it inevitable?

Yes. It’s inevitable at this point. Things are so out of whack the built-in checks and balances no longer work.

Frankly, I am already in 'revolution' against our glorious government. Like many others, I cannot figure out a direction (yet) to take that that not only has a big chance of successfully improving the country, but also isn't just wasted, and potentially life threatening wasted, effort.

There are things worth risking life, liberty and wealth over. However this monster is so enormous, has so many layers of putrid corrupt tentacles within broader and even more corrupt power structures, is so bureaucratic in design, while innocuous in the sheer numbers of minor offending participants... where do you start?

Armed revolt on a small scale is worse than useless. It is first off death to the participants, or worse, lifetimes imprisoned. Worst case, wasted effort that leads to more corrupt power gathered to those who abuse it so.

I am in agreement with those who foretell that any armed resistance (from the right) to where the government is taking us will come only as a response to the sheep masses who live on the dole in the cities blowing up, rioting and going wild over any loss of their government care.

The right will never start a shooting war on America. I am still in revolution mode though. Just watching, waiting and counting my options.

Speaking as someone from the outside looking in, it seems to me that the United States is rapidly becoming the Disunited States. The last time the nation was this divided was in the 1850’s, and look how that turned out.
