Do any of you realize it doesn’t matter whether you believe Mormon doctrine or not? If it is true, then all other religions, sects, or belief systems are wrong. If Mormonism is false then God, not man will judge them AND Glenn Beck. We Mormons could be wrong. We could be purposely deceptive. We could all be devils in human form. .. Or we could be right. But, the fact is, you will never know until you have the guts to read the Book of Mormon, contemplate its teachings, then ASK God the Eternal Father if it is true or false. But, unfortunately, most of you will never find the courage to do that, because you fear what you may find. I did it 40 years ago, and I’ve never looked back or had reason to regret what I discovered. Can you do that?

The answer is: the teachings of the Book of Mormon.
"And he that fighteth against Zion, shall perish, saith God; for he that raiseth up a king against me, shall perish. For I the Lord, the King of heaven, will be their king; and I will be a light upon them forever, that hear my words. Wherefore, for this cause, that my covenants may be fulfilled, which I have made unto the children of men, that I will do unto them while they are in the flesh, I must needs destroy the secret works of darkness, and of murders, and of abominations; wherefore, he that fighteth against Zion, both Jew and Gentile, both bond and free, both male and female, shall perish, for they are they who are the whore of all the earth" (Community of Christ Book of Mormon 2 Nephi 7:20-24).
How will God destroy the secret works of darkness in America?
There is no direct scriptural answer to this question. Only by comparing scripture with scripture does an answer began to emerge. I would suggest comparing, in the Community of Christ Book of Mormon, Alma 17:52-70 with Ether 3:69-102. I would especially draw attention to four short passages (emphasis mine):
Alma 17:60: "For behold, there is a curse upon all this land, that destruction shall come upon all those workers of darkness, according to the power of God, when they are fully ripe..."
Alma 17:64: "... cursed be the land for ever and ever unto those workers of darkness and secret combinations, even unto destruction, except they repent before they are fully ripe."
Ether 3:96: "Wherefore, O ye Gentiles, it is wisdom in God that these things should be shewn unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain..."
Ether 3:98: "Wherefore the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you, that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you..."
Just by comparing the passages I have quoted, it is evident that the means God will use to destroy the secret works of darkness in America involve the spiritual power of God, a final opportunity for repentance, and spiritual awakening and repentance by the nation, resulting in legal barriers to any further usurpation of power over the people. Isaiah 1:24-26 and 52:1-10 suggest to me that, after a Confrontation with Christ, America's government will be gradually reduced to its constitutional limits. I am of the opinion that such a reduction process will drive a stake through the heart of whatever remains of secret works of darkness in America.
Note: Book of Mormon chapter and verse numbers in Community of Christ printings of it do not match those in Mormon church printings of it. The Community of Christ owns the printer's manuscript of the Book of Mormon, which can be viewed, protected behind glass, in the Community of Christ Temple in Independence, Missouri, which, unlike Mormon temples, is freely open to the general public.
Answer? Because truth doesn’t happen in a vaccuum (although dust mites do). If you talked to a Wican or even a Democrat you might find some grains of God’s wisdom tucked in. Glenn Beck was (by his own admission) one seriously messed up lost individual. When he needed rescued the Mormon Church was standing right there to offer him love and belonging and a way out.
I think the more pertinent question is, “Where were we, the Christians when Glenn Beck needed help?”.

Serious question my a**. It is an irrelevant question, not to mention stupid. Beck doesn't run shows on religion he runs them on politics. What he believes politically is what counts, not what brand of Christianity he follows as long as he follows conservative principles.
Of course it's bizarre. But no more bizarre than anyone else being a Mormon.
However, looking from outside, ANY religion looks bizarre. Including whichever one you subscribe to.
Why do you care if he’s Mormon? What happened to Freedom of Religion or does it only apply to Baptists these days?

Perhaps hes made his judgments from George Clooneys movie Good Night and Good Luck that continued the smear campaign against Senator Joseph McCarthy while lionizing leftist reporter Edward R. Murrow. Beck wasnt born in 1935, so perhaps he is unaware in that year the leftist National Education Association promoted a summer school held in Moscow, Russia, at which commissars (czars) were to teach and DID teach hundreds of American teachers. Some of the biggest names in American Education including now deceased John Dewey were sponsors of that school along with such members of the mass liberal media as Edward R. Murrow who later dispensed pro-Soviet disinformation.

In defense of Beck and Joseph Smith I will give you one small piece of evidence that Joseph Smith might be right.
Joseph Smith says at age 17 The Angel Moroni appeared to him and said: (I will paraphrase) God had a work for him to do and that his name would be had for good and evil in all nations. This has always been in Joseph Smith History. There are two answers, either a back woods farm boy in 1822 made that statement or an angel did.
In this electronic age it is easy to prove: Do a search of Joseph Smith Jr. with as many objectionable adjectives as you can think of. Try False Prophet, Evil, Fake, Idiot, fraud, etc; There are millions of sites.
