Conservative Party congressional candidate Doug Hoffman in upstate New York (the district borders Canada and Vermont) has less than 2 weeks to get out of 3rd place in the 3-candidate race.

He needs money and organization.

The Susan B. Anthony List organization, which backs pro-life women candidates, sent six staffers to help Hoffman in his race against Republican Dede Scozzafava and Democrat Bill Owens. It is spending $300,000 on his candidacy, the New York Daily News reported.

Within 24 hours of Sarah Palin’s announcement that she backs the conservative, Hoffman raised $116,000 online — $210,000 for the week.

This is going to be a lollercoaster for us if the RINO gets beaten by a real conservative.

See the earlier post about the “Republican” having no money. Ha!

Once again, the Brit press gets it.

“Suddenly, Watertown, NY, is the center of the political universe. By appointing Republican Congressman John McHugh as secretary of the Army, President Obama created an opening for a pro-choice and pro-gay marriage Republican.

“He also created an opening for his nemesis. And I don’t mean Glenn Beck.”

Is there any way Hoffman can pull this out?

I find it a little odd that with the mission of the Susan B. Anthony List organization, they’re sending staffer to work for a male candidate.

This is the future of politics if the GOP wants to dump conservatism.

The org supports pro-life.

"This is going to be a lollercoaster for us if the RINO gets beaten by a real conservative."

Sarah DID dismantle the Alaskan Oil & Gas Commission of ol'boys. She certainly can kick around and scare to death quite a few of the sissy RINOs embedded in Washington DC.

If Sarah Palin can flush out some major RINO crap from DC, then she has succeeded where no others have dared. She will be my personal hero.

To the extent this:

http://www.redstate.com/erick/2009/10/23/scozzafava-declares-herself-part-of-abramoff-wing-of-gop-funnels-campaign-cash-to-family/

is true, Hoffman needs to pound Dede into withdrawing.

The RINO’s are dividing the party!!

To paraphrase Juan Mccain, "My friends, the RINO's need to reach across the aisle and embrace our conservative values."

Exactly.

For far too long the GOP establishment has failed to embrace the diversity that conservatism can bring to their leaning and badly designed tent.

These polls were taken over a week ago, there is no telling whats going on now. It has been a very very busy week for NY-23 hasn’t it? They are getting international coverage for their 3-way race.

It doesn’t look like the Democrat base will abandoned Owens, and the RINO’s and a few radical leftist are backing Scuzzy. Independents seemed to be moving to Hoffman along with conservatives.

Who knows the real story? I guess we will find out on election day.

You would think that some major media outlet would have done a poll recently with all this attention. Maybe their doing it now.

Susan B. Anthony was a pro-life feminist. So normally they work toward putting pro-life women into office. But I think they are also maybe willing to work in this case to keep an extreme pro-abortion Republican OUT of office.

Their aim is pro-life, but I think they also want to disabuse the voters of the notion that all women are pro-abort. So this does fit in with their mission, to a large extent.

"some major media outlet would have done a poll recently"

Maybe they did and it turned out bad for Dede and thus was not "newsworthy".

Good for Governor Palin. Has any other politician followed her lead?
