The FedGov has no business being involved in this.
None whatsoever.

Yup, let’s let congress regulate sports - about the only thing that I would have thought was within their meager intellectual grasp.
Alas, I was wrong.

Doesn’t congress have more pressing issues than the d@mn bcs? Mind your own business and do what the H$ll you were hired and paid to do. I’d bet their approval ratings are lower than any BCS approval ratings. Their arrogance knows no bounds!!!

Congressmen who think this is any of their business have been in Washington too long.
Whatever happened to term limits?

Which portion of the Constitution gives Congress the right to regulate college football?

I’m so glad that America is so problem-free that our Congress can worry about important stuff like which college has the best semi-pro football team.
If college football was played by actual student athletes, they’d all graduate with real degrees and 3.0+ GPA. Maybe Congress should work on that!

I’m a college football nut, and the BCS is definitely flawed, but seriously WTF are these morons doing spending time and injecting the fedgov into college football?
Resign you useless hacks if you really think this is an important enough matter for Congress to muck up! Seriously, effing quit and let serious people do the job you are neglecting! (Rest of post self-censored.)

Unbelieveable! Surely these men have something better to do.
A post on the BCS would require more time than what I have now. But suffice it to say that college football cannot have a playoff system because there are simply too few games available to give a playoff system justice. The College Presidents want the regular football season over by Thanksgiving. Some games are now in August and the students aren't even there.
There's no way to design a system that will satisfy everyone. Hatch is a ass for pursuing this.
