I’m a college football nut, and the BCS is definitely flawed, but seriously WTF are these morons doing spending time and injecting the fedgov into college football?

Resign you useless hacks if you really think this is an important enough matter for Congress to muck up! Seriously, effing quit and let serious people do the job you are neglecting! (Rest of post self-censored.)

Unbelieveable! Surely these men have something better to do.

A post on the BCS would require more time than what I have now. But suffice it to say that college football cannot have a playoff system because there are simply too few games available to give a playoff system justice. The College Presidents want the regular football season over by Thanksgiving. Some games are now in August and the students aren't even there.

There's no way to design a system that will satisfy everyone. Hatch is a ass for pursuing this.

I must have missed that power granted to Congress in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution.

i am sooooo glad our congress critters have nothing more pressing to deal with than an idiotic sports dilemma. i was worried they would never be able to finish the important legislative work we hired them to do.

I fail to see how this is any of Congress’ business or what authority they have to tell colleges how their championships should be determined. Does this mean they can change the rules of football as well?

These people seem to have no concept of the limits of their power.

What an utter waist of time ... but, imagine if garbage like this occupied the minds of 100 US Senators all year long. They would not have time to screw things up that really matter.

"Bread and circuses."

Got that right, Rome had nothing on our pagan world. We don't need no stinkin coliseum, we got TV's streaming the circus into every home and beer and chips at every store.

>>Whatever happened to term limits?<<

.
Do you really think that there is ONE congressman who would vote in favor of term limits especially when they can vote themselves a pay-raise, can exempt themselves of ObamaCare and can retire with full benefits after having served only one term?

Would you if, you were a congress-critter?
