Mainstream media repeatedly reports black-on-white assault as an “economic crime” and nearly always follows up with a quote from a local LEO stating that the crime was determined not to be “racially motivated”. Yet, white-on-black assault is almost always categorized as a “hate crime” prosecutable under hate crime statutes. An impartial observer would have to be blind or naive not to see the operative jurisprudential double standard.
On an anecdotal level, as a white male I know of black men in the workplace who make no effort to disguise their preference for white women, and at the same time actively avoid any involvement with women of their own race.
Also on an anecdotal level, it seems black men are the only men who are sanctioned by our society to display what was once thought to be traditional male dominance behavior. The same behavior in a white male elicits criticism and accusations of sexism from most women. Does this “license” have something to do with why so many white females prefer black and minority males as partners?
In other words, have we succeeded in institutionalizing a form of “racist mating behavior” to the point where we are encouraging what many black male ethnocentrists consider to be “racial suicide”? The suicide reference is to the empirical conclusion that repeated mating of blacks with whites will result in the eventual eradication of blacks as an identifiable race.
And that's a perfectly valid problem to discuss, but the crime article I took the reply quotes from does not seem to be a black-on-white or white-on-black crime. It was most likely a black-on-black crime and pictures of both of the perpetrators were part of the article. So where was the double-standard or attempt to hide the race of the perpetrators that provoked the sarcasm in that case? All I saw were comments pointing out that the perpetrators were black and suggesting that whites would never do the same thing. Need I also point out that "Amish" isn't a race?

Sure. And I've had black Jamaicans tell me that black Americans embarrass them and so on. I'm not saying that race, racism, and the underlying cultural issues are not legitimate to talk about. But the constructive way to talk about such things is not to go in with both guns blazing and with no regard to offense.

White males in certain subcultures can and do also exhibit traditional male behavior. In my opinion, race actually obfuscates the real issues, which are largely cultural. There are different white cultures and also different cultures within the African American community as well as differences between African Americans and black immigrants from the Caribbean and Africa. There are also differences between Asian and Hispanic groups but all of that gets swept up into the simple categories of race and, in the case of Hispanics, a pseudo-race. And before the current push for the Hispanic minority category, plenty of Hispanics simply considered themselves "white". As for your overall analysis about "traditional male dominance behavior", I don't think that's necessarily true. The top complaint I've heard from Asian women about why they want nothing to do with Asian men revolves around "traditional male dominance behavior" and their expectations about Asian women, and them not liking it one bit.

I think it's a lot more complicated than that. First, interracial marriages are still fairly rare. Second, most African Americans are already of mixed racial heritage, as are many whites, with respect not only to each other but also Native American heritage. Third, it's been my experience talking to people in interracial relationships that a large factor driving it is that people take members of their own race for granted but treat people of other races as exotic, which can make them feel special. In other cases, it's essentially a cultural issue. There are also some other aesthetic issues involved and those issues play out between different ethnicities within races as well as between races. All of these things can be talked about, in my experience, but throwing around terms like "wookie" is not conducive to civil discourse on the topic.
