With regard to Asians, there’s a very “collectivist” mentality among that culture. While they work hard and do well for themselves, that collectivist culture is a tough nut to crack.

As far as the others, those are what I call “Democrat by Genetics.” They were raised on the mantra that JFK was God, Republicans are big meanies that only care about the rich, and the Democrat is the party of the “workin’ man.” They fail to believe, or realize, that those statements haven’t been true in 40 years.

Correct. But because they also perceive Republicans as racist, they don't even take a close look at either party because they assume they don't want to be Republican. That's exactly why I think it hurts conservatives to not only that stereotype to exist but also to reinforce it with comments and jokes that may not be intended as racist but will sure look that way to someone who assumes that conservatives are racist. The way to change a stereotype is to not be it, not to play along with it.

I can’t say I really disagree.

I think, however we can DISCUSS true issues in the black (and other) communities, like the absence of fathers being linked to crime, etc., without saying things like “yeah, I be bangin’ hos in different area codes” to make our point.

I have no problem with people discussing racial and cultural issues here, including politically incorrect positions, if they focus on the facts and evidence and keep it civil. If you want to see what I have a problem with, start with any thread about a crime with a black perpetrator or Michelle Obama’s appearance.

The US and South Africa are the only nations on earth that outright banned interracial unions. In the French. Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch colonies, interracial unions were common (and encouraged by the Spanish and Portuguese to assimilate the natives and free blacks).
