White House interim communications director Anita Dunn assumed the role of lead Fox News Channel-basher this weekend. The attack was a dud. The left-leaning Nation magazine ridiculed President Obama's press shop for turning him into the "whiner-in-chief." AOL media columnist Jeff Bercovici called the war on Fox a "loser's strategy" that "signals weakness." And that's the friendly fire.
Mrs. Dunn found refuge in rival CNN's green zone, where she blasted Fox News as a "research arm of the Republican Party." Unhappy with headline-generating Fox News hosts who have wrested control of the news cycle from Team Obama, Dunn complained about "opinion journalism masquerading as news."

On the day I saw her doing the endless whine about FOX....I thought I was looking at Cindy Sheehan’s long-lost twin sister.

Dunn gave a speech I believe only a few months ago where she said Mao was one of her favorite political philosophers. Mao, who I believe, killed 70 million Chinese civilians. I am stunned that this gets no traction in the press. It’s outrageous.

I seriously doubt she is calling the shots on this. I am sure der leader's handlers have ID’d Fox as a menace to their rule. They shielded him from Fox before the election and were able to do that due to the sycophants in the MSM and their alliance with GE. I also don't believe OZero is smart enough to have come up with that strategy on his own. In fact, he only went on FOX to be interviewed during the night of the GOP nomination of McCain, just so he could say he did it of course while no one was watching.

According to Wikipedia, Dunn, began her career in the Carter White House, first as an intern for White House Communications Director Gerald Rafshoon and then worked for chief of staff Hamilton Jordan.
On June 5, 2009, Dunn delivered a speech to a group of high school students in which she stated “... two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Zedong and Mother Teresa, not often coupled with each other, but the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point...you don’t have to follow other people’s choices and paths” or “let external definition define how good you are internally.” The Mao quote Dunn cited referred to a disagreement within the Community Party of China in 1947 as to the conduct of the war against the Nationalists during which Mao declared “You fight your war, and I’ll fight mine”.
