Again, who decides? You? There are people who think it is mental abuse to teach your child a religion. Or to homeschool them. Or to punish them when they do wrong. Who decides? The lines have to be clear.
The Heene’s will never be voted parent of the year and they are NOT raising saints to be sure but if we put people’s rights above the rights of the state then people have a right to “screw up” their children. What no one has a right to do is physically abuse or sexually abuse a child. Yes I watched the video and it was horrendous. A reason to call CPS? No. Neither is teaching them to lie to the police. It is however a reason to have a POLICE investigation of the parents.
I take it you have never dealt with a power hungry CPS worker. Alot of the times, a child is safer with an abusive parent than they are in the system. This is usually true except in extreme cases.
It amazes me that so many people on this forum who detests big government, sound like bleeding heart liberals when it comes to CPS. It’s for the children you know. Who was it that said “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”? Rhetorical question.
It sounds to me like someone’s been checked up on by the CPS. ;-)
