You are so very very right.
This brief conversation supplied me with a theme for lengthened thought. How sad a truth- if true it were- that Man's age-long endeavor for perfection had served only to render him the mockery of the Evil Principle, from the fatal circumstance of an error at the very root of the matter! The heart- the heart- there was the little yet boundless sphere, wherein existed the original wrong, of which the crime and misery of this outward world were merely types. Purify that inward sphere; and the many shapes of evil that haunt the outward, and which now seem almost our only realities, will turn to shadowy phantoms, and vanish of their own accord. But if we go no deeper than the Intellect, and strive, with merely that feeble instrument, to discern and rectify what is wrong, our whole accomplishment will be a dream; so unsubstantial, that it matters little whether the bonfire, which I have so faithfully described, were what we choose to call a real event, and a flame that would scorch the finger- or only a phosphoric radiance, and a parable of my own brain!--Nathaniel Hawthorne, "Earth's Holocaust", 1844
Did anyone see her TONGUE???? It kept coming out like a SERPENT!!!
WHAT????? She DID praise Mao....Rush DID NOT praise Slavery.....how is that the same?????
They don’t even have CHURCH SERVICES in the National CATHEDRAL!!
But Mao KILLED 70 MILLION PEOPLE......geesh.
“Praising a communist murderer of his own people at Washington National Cathedral. To a bunch of high school kids. From an Obama Administration insider. Lovely.”
You have to understand: it’s The Episcopal “Church.” It’s what they do. And it’s why most conservatives have left TEC.
Please read more carefully. I said the charge against Rush was phony. As far as comparison, those Mao left alive, were in a situation that has much in common with slavery. Besides, those African tribal wars, where African tribes enslaved other Africans and then sold them to the slave ship operators were hardly bloodless.
That was not my point, my point was just that an exclusive school cost, per year, not much more than the school with metal detectors, gangs, and poor education...
Good thing she didn’t say her favorite philosopher was someone controversial, like Jesus.
OMG!! Like Bush said Jesus was his favorite philosopher!! He was EXCORIATED!!
“They dont even have CHURCH SERVICES in the National CATHEDRAL!!”
Well, yeah, they DO.
http://www.nationalcathedral.org/worship/services.shtml
When we went there the guide told us they only have SPECIAL services....not REGULAR services.
There are a few (3?) chapels and a church (St. Albans) at the Cathedral. But their site shows 3 Sunday services are held in the Nave. The church that is the Cathedral is known officially (as I recall) as the Church of Sts Peter and Paul.
We lived in that neighborhood for years, but chose to go to a much smaller ‘mission’ church, so I never attended services at the Cathedral, tho we visited there often enough for other reasons. Unfortunately, like the ECUSA, the Cathedral has been taken over by the ‘politically correctness’ that passes for religion these days.

With her crossed eyes, and huge bulbous nose, I dunno.
They might have to use a shoehorn for her nose and gun the bus a bit.
“What are those things coming out of her nose?!” -Spaceballs.
Thanks.
Interesting find.
Her tongue tic still makes me think of a cow chewing cud though.
My first reaction to her tongue thingy was “Isn’t that a Tourette’s Syndrome Thingy?”
I just thought it was SERPENTY??? The tongue thing is SO WEIRD!!
“SERPENTY and WEIRD!!”
I couldn’t have said it better myself. It is very distracting, I had to look away to actually HEAR what she was saying. She is married to Obama’s attorney and she has a kid. John Lennon was wrong I guess when he said, “If you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, you ain’t gonna make it with anyone, anyhow.” ewwwwwwww
