Goodell lowered himself and entered the disgusting fray of faux-orthodoxy against Rush Limbaugh in his bid to become a part owner of the NFLs St. Louis Rams. He attacked Limbaugh as divisive and publicly opposed his NFL ambitions. So did Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay. Limbaugh may very well soon own part of the Rams. And Goodell will have to eat crow and work with the ownership team of which hes a part. This was a boneheaded move and not at all professional. Goodell reduced himself to a nobody by publicly denouncing Limbaugh. These people sound like Politburo members, not gazillionaire owners and executives of a major American sports monopoly.

********
Monopoly.
I wonder if Rush could sue these snobs.
The NFL has been slowly going liberal since AT LEAST turning over the entirety of its SuperBowl halftime shows to CBS & its Janet Jackson "on parade."
Worse, does the NFL admin speak out against Liberal owners like Jerry Jones of the Cowboys and also the Seattle Seahawks' organization? Not to my knowledge. Both Dallas and Seattle have made Life Decisions International boycott lists for giving $ to Planned Parenthood.
But do conservative/Christian fans in Texas and Washington seem to care? Do they let the owners know they're fed up with this? Do they consider boycotting these teams?
WE are the problem. Cowboy fans are the problem. SeaHawks' fans are the problem. And now Colts' fans are the potential problem.
As long as your precious "football" hobbies mean more than the lives of the preborn, then that says it all.
This isn’t about football. This is the White House running a double reverse on Rush’s ability to stop Socialized Medicien. Goddell doesn’t even know he’s a dupe.
He loves the game. He loves the players.
These people are leftist idiots, and I hope this hurts them BIG time with the American people.
I wonder if Mr. Jane Skinner (Roger Goddell) feels the same way about Fox News Channel...where his wife works...
By the way....college football is a better, more entertaining game. And, you tend to find more conservatives (esp in the South) at the games and putting the money behind the big programs.
Also, you think the NFL would welcome Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas into the luxury suite section....like the Univ of Nebraska welcomes Justice Thomas when he attends Huskers games?
I cant.
Then you support all of this anti-Rush malarkey!
There’s a big difference beween “can’t” and “won’t”. Only one of those words puts you in control of your own actions.
Whatever. I’m not going to ruin my football season by not watching. I don’t buy tickets, rarely purchase apparel, nor do I purchase programs like NFL season ticket.
I don’t make a monetary impact either way.
I did however run my mouth on the Colts forum, where I think I can actually make somewhat of difference believe it or not.
I can boycott them but I doubt many conservatives would do such. Now on the other hand if reversed the libs would definitely boycott. They have a passion & goal. Most conservatives are RINOs - that's why we have only one pol party. 2nd RUSH has never be active in any actions. Before he is taken down he will see his entertainment needed activism. Afraid it's too late.
Also, do you think Rush is going to stop supporting the Steelers? NO!!!!!!!!
This isnt about football. This is the White House running a double reverse on Rushs ability to stop Socialized Medicien. Goddell doesnt even know hes a dupe.
Exactly. There’s a greater purpose here. The NFL is just a pawn.
Unless you have a Neilsen box attached to your television, they'll never know if you still watch the games. If you just make a lotta noise (write letters and emails) and stop buying their merchandise, you can still secretly watch the games.
If you actually do have a Neilsen box on your television, tune it to FoxNews and go watch the game at your friend's house.
Maybe if Limbaugh bought the team in the dead of night and moved them to another city, they would approve of him to be an owner. Of maybe they would recall the heir who inherited the Rams and intentionally drove the team into failure so she could take the bonus from St. Louis. Those are the kind of owners they need.
Unless Rush’s group or a superior bid are approved I will boycott the NFL.
I haven't watched an entire NFL game since the 1985 Superbowl. It just doesn't appeal to me. I find the pageantry, tradition and rivalry of college football much more appealing and watch every Saturday. My Dad played for the NY Giants in the early 60's and I played football from 8 to 18 and coached Pop Warner and just don't find Pro football all that exciting, same offenses, same defenses, no player loyalty and too much of a circus. Tough up here with all the Steeler worship, which to each his own.
Voyte with your walet. That will send a more effective message. The owners consider people like you that gives them your hard earned money fools anyway.
NFL Ping
Yep - going forward because of this, the NFL is dead to me. No games, no attention, no office discussions, and sure as hell NO MONEY.
Limbaugh is bad for business. The owners are trying to negotiate a collective bargaining agreement with the players union even now, and Limbaugh has a bad rep with the players for various reasons. Even though undeserved, they are doing this so that talks don’t heat up too much.

BTW - please join me in this effort.
