I had my flu shots last year prior to surgery and chemo. I am still in chemo and just got regular flu and will get H1N1 when it is available. You don’t want flumist or any live vaccines but dead ones are okay. I have a friend in chemo who has had terrible flu,,fevers,etc for over three weeks, it was swine and it has delayed her chemo.
Thanks for the info. However, my surgery is next week, I’m waiting to hear if that’s kinda too close for the shot. You’re still in chemo??? my sympathies!
