My opinion, that 'kid' showed initiative and problem-solving skills. He knew what he had to do for the work he wanted and he figured out the best method for him to do it.
If he can do the work and be an asset to the company...Good for him.

From what I hear, they didn’t fire him because he didn’t lie during the interview nor did he surrender any of that info. Doesn’t have a criminal record either. He just showed up the other co-workers by taking a cheaper alternative.

He even said during the interview that he will take any graphics test...and passed. I wish kids today were like him...
