It's the camera flash. Siddiqi is staring at you, meaning the flash was only slightly off axis. Pick the shadow you mention and compare it with the one off Siddiqi’s ankle and the one below Zero's right pant leg. They're the same and and befit the flash angle.
I'm hooked on the watch being just flare. Without a polarizing filter, flare is what you get.

I see what you are saying, but the “black” under siddiqi’s ankle does not appear to be a solid cutoff like the others do. In fact, it is not even as solidly black as the watch and the black behind zero’s pantleg. Why is only part of the watchface brought forward and evenly cut off? I guess I will have to try and sharpen this better.
The artifacts associated with being a natural shadow are just not there, but they ARE under siddiqi’s ankle.
