I think they meant she graduated not "pass out". Whenever I hear some English phrases from the UK it reminds me of my trip there or the quote from Snatch when Denis Farina goes to London and says:

Speak English to me, Tony. I thought this country spawned the f*****g language, and so far nobody seems to speak it.
